We have been with Kumo for the past 4 years and used them for both our VOIP system and all our IT work. They have been there for us when we really needed them. They are quick to take our calls and resolve our issues, even if it means they need to come out the same day due to an emergency. I love Kumo cloud and the VOIP services that they offer. I cannot recommend them enough. My favorite part is the SMS messaging. Sales for my business has increased since using the SMS messaging with Kumo to follow up with new clients as well as keep up with the current ones.

Team KUMO to the rescue!
It is with great enthusiasm, that I wish to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts put forth by you and your entire team.
The situation and circumstance associated with our dilemma, were uniquely nightmarish in content, though throughout the process, you and your team did nothing short of work miracles, time and time again.
To a career buyer of over 20 years, such performances do not go unnoticed.
To that end, service of this magnitude is typically associated with an order/contract that requires multiple signature internally and are macro in dollars spent to the vendor service or product.
Not the case in our experience with KUMO. Truly, your team shattered the model and treated us like a Fortune 500 Company, in the midst of a million dollar contract launch.
True, we as a company, “slow played” the process of quotation.
True too, should we have given a great emphasis to the “worst case scenario,” the situation we found ourselves in, could have been mitigated to a reasonable amount of discomfort (less the complete “line down” of the telecommunications system of our company for the better part of a weeks’ time).
Fast forward….. “Team KUMO to the rescue!”
Not to make light of the situation, but when the outcome is so favorable (as was the case in our situation), one wonders (from a operational/vendor relations perspective), “where the heck have you all been my professional life?”
Through the efforts of you all (including Chris our install tech), you managed to make Gabby and myself look like “Super-Star” problem solvers.
As a true believer in all things (both good and bad), roll downhill; from the peak of the situation, to that of the ground floor/resolution of said situation, take a bow Team KUMO. You CRUSHED IT!
If I may be so bold as to say, the entire timeline (or expedite, if you will) of our account set up, most certainly speaks to the culture built up within your company.
As a start-up company ourselves, being mindful of each new hire’s contribution to the overall company culture is paramount in our consideration of hire.
To a person I personally dealt with, no truer words are to be spoken than your team knows their industry, their specific contribution to the process and success of the company, and is mindful of communication and sensitivity of the person/customer they are dealing with.
Patience being a virtue and the language chosen to be spoken being the cornerstone of your customer relationships; thank you Del and Astrid (for your collective patient with my lack of due-diligence), and thank you Christina for “dumbing down” the terminology of our Cox Communication bill and creating solutions when the reluctance of the Cox team to make streamline, the issuance of the call forwarding to the temporary phone number you provided us.
Listen, time will tell, as butterflies and unicorns are nice, but so are honeymoons, relative to being married for 50 years (fyi-both of which are alien to me personally).
I can only speak my truth in this moment and to that point specifically; I could not be more grateful and appreciative of team KUMO’s contribution to our work place.
It is with much hope, that I can push forward, the conversation of turnkey IT support by your team as well.

At a time that is appropriate, Gabby and I would like to visit your facility and meet you all in person, as the fact that our company phone system is working and at such a robust nature (we are not even aware of the maximum possibility of the units and /or your service), is unreal to us both. To that end, we want to make sure you all are real and this is not but a happy ending to a nightmare we are both having.

overall it’s a great VOIP system for our small business and the only thing you need is having high speed internet connection! sound quality is good…the price is excellent! i know there have caller id, but i’d like to have spam blocker available like our cell phones, excellent pricing.otherwise overall its a good VOIP service

Using Kumo has literally changed our…
Using Kumo has changed our business. Not only has it saved us hundreds annually, but the customer service is bar-none. Amazing product, price, ease of use and we absolutely love that we can be remote as well. Especially during this pandemic we’ve been able to work remotely with ease.

I’ve been using Kumo system for two years never giving problem and I never missed the calls if someone calls on office number it will come to my smartphone. Fax service and toll free comes together.

Gotta have it!
If you have a mini split unit w wifi the app is a must. It might be even easier to use than the remote that came our unit. More importantly, if you have multiple units you can control them all from the app; cant do that with the out-of-the-box remote!

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid at all costs
This is simply the worst and most unreliable app I have ever used. I completely regret going with the Mitsubishi system controlled by Kumo cloud. I have had a system with a ducted and two ductless zones over a year and I’ve had nothing but problems with Kumo cloud controlling them.
The user interface is clumsy and severely outdated and is not well thought out (e.g. you can’t even see the current temperature in a given zone without first drilling down into that zone. But for some reason, you can see the current relative humidity in the top level zone view). It is also quite slow in responding (it can take 2-3 minutes for the HVAC system to respond to a command). I have state-of-the-art Wifi and components in my home and have no issues with other Wifi devices. It feels and behaves like it was written by an intern with little or no programming experience.
But the worst thing about it is that entire zones become unavailable for control for hours at a time. The dreaded “i” in a circle will appear over the zone in the app when the app can’t communicate with the hardware. No amount of reconnecting or resetting the units, smartphone and/or modems and routers will fix the problem. It just needs a day or two to finally decide to get its act back together. And forget calling Mitsubishi support. They have NEVER returned a single call I’ve made to them in the past year.
Mitsubishi doesn’t appear to be actively supporting this app since it has not been updated in an almost a year from the time of this writing (last update was 12/2019). Just read the horrible reviews on the Apple and Google Play app stores. I am not a corner case.
A week does not go by where I hope that Mitsubishi has been completely re-writing this app and the re-releasing it to all of us that have been suffering through this awful experience.

1.0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY from KUMO Cloud
To give you some context, we are a ‘geek’ household, both have PhDs and engineers. I am also VERY familiar with network design engineering and can pretty much fix anything. The house we have this installed in, has commercial grade networking components and a very table and strong signal (so home wifi is not an issue). To give perspective, there’s about $3-4000 of wii equipment here.
KUMO is a MESS.
The system is unstable, units frequently ‘disappear’ (greyed out) on the kumo app that results from a failure to communicate (and when I inspect my network, i can see that the indoor heads are still attached). We’ve had occasions where we put the units to heat in the morning and then been UNABLE to turn them off. We had to resort to throwing the circuit breakers on the panel to get these units to reset (and re-establish communication)
Don’t get me wrong, i REALLY, REALLY want to love these units, but until the system is more reliable, I can’t recommend it (and would rip it all out of this house if I could).
Stick with the traditional wired thermostats if you must until this rechnoloty matures (or mitsubishi shows more commitment to supporting it (the kumo app for iOS is seriously lacking as evidenced by the mnay negative posts on iTunes and amazon stors BUT no response or update from Mitsibushi to correct them

It was easy to use and convenient
It was easy to use and convenient. I liked being able to have a number that I could use for students and parents to reach me without having my real number. I also like having a running record of all texts and a transcripts of voicemails.

not as good as it seems
The phone apps are often glitchy and frustrating to use. There is no automatic call recording on individual lines so when you transfer someone to another employee the call recording stops unless they remember to turn it on. Admin can’t access call recordings on individual lines. You can’t bulk download your recordings making it extremely difficult when an employee leaves

After our company grew a bit we decided to move away from google meet and apps like zoom to Kumo. It’s simply more reliable for business than free options. So, their services helped to establish decent communication among employees and with customers.

We had recently tried to set up VOIP service in Canada as we opened a new business there (our HQ is in Australia).

Apparently, Kumo Cloud devs optimized the code for iOS. Things are pretty snappy when controlled with iphones. But on Android? You’re lucky if it turns on after waiting 30-45 seconds. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. And yes, I’m on the wifi (confirmed in Kumo app) and the signal is very strong to each unit’s antennae.
Works well enough on iphones so I know what it’s capable of. Too bad they couldn’t be bothered to support Android as well. The hybrid units do work well. But if you are an Android person, you’ll find the experience frustrating to a point that it’s not even worth it. Just use the remote and save yourself the grief.

We enjoy using Kumo at all of our locations because Kumo gives us flexibility, connectivity, features, and reliability without the need to build our own in-house phone system infrastructure which would be cost prohibitive for us.
