    I have used vonage for my business for 5 years. My phone has stopped working called to buy a compatible phone 45 minutes later im stuck in a loop of never ending repetitive questions. I still haven’t spoken to anyone I’ll take my lines somewhere else.

    If you decide to go with Vonage on the sales line ASK for a customer service number to test their customer service. You will only talk to a sales(high pressure sales) associate. They do not have anyone to speak to for customer service. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR VONAGE!!

    I signed up for Vonage at 14.99 per month. Without notice they Increased my rate to close to 40.00 a month. The service works good but I would never do bisoness with a company that won’t let you cancel online. You have to call to cancel but they list no phone number or instructions on the website. May be coincidence but once I said I wanted to cancel to the automated system I got dropped 3 times. Finally canceled on the 4th try after they tried to take me back to 14.99 a month. In the end they wanted to charged me a 50.00 early termination fee. Not sure why other that I was still in contract even though they had raised my rate. Buyer beware.

    I have been with Vonage for 17 years and everything worked as advertised. Then without warning Simulring and Call Forwarding no longer works outside of a few countries. I rely on this service which they just cut off.

    But Vonage does not care. They say well its just what it is and to basically f*off.

    They are awful people with a terrible attitude.

    Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

    I have been trying to reach Vonage by telephone for approximately 3 months. No one ever answers my calls and no one ever replies by their chat/help tool. The phone calls I am paying to record are not recording and I need to add another extension. Vonage has provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced.     Platform is great; technology is great; it has helped us to dramatically improve client service

    Unfortunately, support is terrible, unresponsive, required multiple ask’s; billing support is not helpful – they refuse to allow electronic checks for small accounts; also, they do not appear to use their own technology in their contact center.

    Terrible costumer service ever!!! it’s impossible to speak in person with anyone if you have any issues. The only way to speak to someone is to tell them that you are interested in buying their product, and when you tell them that you have an issue that needs to be resolve, they promise to call back, but they never ever do follow up with you. They also have $2,000 canceling fee that they don’t disclose with you at the beginning.They lie to you and ignore you. Don’t get yourself into this mess.

    I would have rated Vonage higher but they no longer have phone support. Using chat can be very frustrating. Luckily, I don’t often need support, but when I do I really want to talk to someone. When I used to talk to a live person, I was able to solve my issues much quicker and more efficiently. I also don’t understand why my monthly bill keeps creeping up every few months even though I have no change in service. Would I recommend Vonage? Probably, but with reservations. I used to recommend Vonage whole-heartedly!

    Discussed by this company. Constantly faults. Phone calls in bad quality, Not being able to fix them Customer service available from chats – no phone communication. Incompetent staff. Not worth the money or supposed services.
    Will try to cheat you out of money. Extra charges on accounts for no reason.

    Absolutely useless customer service. Perhaps the worst I have ever come across. They had no clue what service they were providing us, and couldn’t even locate us on their system – despite managing to charge us every month, of course. In the end I was shunted between 8 different teams/customer service agents and none could help. Now going to just stop paying and hopefully then someone will be able to locate our account and formally close it. I would strongly recommend against going near this company based on our experience. The quality of their product is also the reason we’re quitting. Totally unreliable.

    This is the worse service for business. I have used Vonage for 3 years. Now no customer support. If something goes wrong with your phone service you are on you own. There is no longer customer service. I would advise you if you are looking for phone service place Vonage on the bottom of your list. You would be better off with a ground line.

  14. Vonage playing dirty when wanting to keep my phone number

    I was with Vonage Home Phone for over 5 years. I did have good days but I also had very bad outages which took long to solve with the terrible online support. Recently I cancelled my services with them. I informed them that needed my number ported by my new provider as I needed to keep my phone number. After promising me that my number could be ported without trouble and would be available for 30 days after cancellation. My new Provider says Vonage is not releasing my number. Numerous call to Customer Services and technical Support and porting section proved futile. They are just playing dirty and blocking my number.was thinking of keeping them in mind if I needed their long distance plan. But now NEVER. Id rather use Wattsapp or some other free service. Shame on you Vonage Home Phone Services Canada.

    Just a bad service. Horrible. I have 500/50 internet, phone wired directly into a 1GB 8 Port hub I purchased because of the lag when I dial a number, it would take 3 or for seconds and I bought these phones specifically to be able to press speaker and dial a number from the comfort of my chair without holding a phone. Not only that, they only accept auto pay. I don’t do auto pay. Ever. Anywhere. Sorry but if Vonage is paid and everyone else and then I go to write a check for rent, it looks really BAD when my rent check bounces. No thanks. They also threaten to shut your phones off after 14 days. I mean seriously. Im not a huge corporation with a million bucks in the bank. I struggle every month to pay everything including internet, phones, insurance, parts, rent, etc. I have never had a business account get shut off after being 2 weeks late, with some Indian guy calling the day the payment fails and subsequently. The extra charges are ridiculous. So far they have got me for an extra $100 with “Premium” support and voicemail transcription. UMMM, I bought desk phones for my desk…. If I wanted voicemail transcription, I would be using my CELL PHONE! Just an all around bad experience. Never got Caller ID correct. Added an S in the name and its not even the name I told them to put on the caller ID. Just a horrible service and good luck calling them if the need arises.

    I hate to say this but vonage didn’t do a good job. I signed up in vonage in January and the lady that i talked to when i signed in told me that i will get a $50 gift card after 90 days and the person who refer me. Its been 5 months now, nothing came. I got problems calling in the Philippines and i called them a lot of times but they just promised me they will gonna do something about it, but nothing. A lot of times when i called, they hang up on me, i dont know why? Come on Vonage, do your job and your promise. Dont just say it. Im just paying Vonage $47+/monthly with nothing! I’m NOT happy with your Service!

    They somehow charged my account without me ever signing up. I cancelled my card, and I’ve been unable to cancel the account as the customer service (or lack thereof) is the worst I’ve ever had the displeasure of trying to work with. Again, I never signed up for it.

    Business customer with over 10 lines. No answer on support line. Endless bot trap with no live response. Now in chat for 141:35 seconds. YES that is over two hours. Called sales and phone immediately answered. transferred to support and now receiving music with a 10 second loop of “don’t want to wait, press 1 and call back within business hours”I press one and the loop just keeps going. I asked for one line to be ported to ATT for cell phone use 3 days ago and still waiting. Now I have a new cell phone that is unusable since VONAGE is stalling the port to an ATT cell.

    Problem solved. Vonage not the problem. Vonage still needs to work on customer service. Ironic that a phone company doesn’t answer the phone.

    Don’t be fooled by the lower prices this company offers compared to other VOIP vendors. There are a few major problems that few others have mentioned here that are the reason we will be leaving for another vendor:
    1) TERRIBLE analytics. They claim to tell you % calls answered, missed, etc. but the truth is that EVERY SINGLE node in the call tree – even when it’s just a button the caller presses – counts as an “answered” call. And even funnier, if a caller never gets connected to a live person or a queue, Vonage doesn’t record any of the call tree options they make! Long story short, in order to actually see what’s going on with our phone system, I had to build a 10MB Excel with formulas that took me days to fine tune.

    2) Buggy software. We constantly experience issues with logging in, and you can’t use it at all on Chromebooks or older Macbook models. For several months, our outbound text messages just didn’t work. Somehow after I called that seems to have been fixed, but there is just zero reliability with basic communication services from Vonage.

    3) Extremely limited call queuing functionality. There is no option for someone to get a call back (you can’t even pay for it). Also no option to give estimated call times or where people are in the queue.

    Ever since we switched to Vonage, complaints about our phone system have gone through the roof. We were literally better off with a bunch of landlines beforehand. I would definitely not recommend Vonage to anyone who wants to run a successful customer service operation.

    Customer service is the worst! I’m simply trying to change payment credit card for last TWO years! Vonage continues to charge old card; when I call or make online contact, Vonage won’t recognize my phone number(but it is able to charge me every month). After hour on the phone on two separate days a “Rickey” said he change it on 9/23/2020. But VOnage continues to charge old credit card on 9/20/2021!

    No technical or other voice telephone support anymore. They only use chat-bots, and do not allow people to talk to a person at all anymore.
    There is no way to get a hold of anyone, total lack of customer support!!
    I was trying to talk to their accounts department about billing, but there is no way to talk to anyone at all!! Your loss, you will lose a business phone customer.

    We signed up with these people and they were so sweet and kind on the phone.Once’s they got our Debit card information they started charging us with no service.They are still charging us and no one replies/hold/transfer drama.We can’t stop the payment cause they will keep charging and send it to collections..Please help us fight these low life cons online!

    The teams are completely disconnected. Tech support doesn’t have a clue resulting in unnecessary charges. Communication takes days and, good luck trying to remove your details from their records, despite requesting this, I am still contacted by individuals from sales and marketing. Best advice is to add them to your spam filter. I was able to get what I needed from another organization in 10 minutes. Vonage is possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with – completely rubbish on every level!

    I started vonage accidentally using my fathers credit card we have the same name. He cancelled the credit card and they called me to charge and I told them not to charge me that moment they charged the new card anyway. I called them back and told them they fraudulently charged my card and they said to cancel the account they would charge me 120.00 termination fee. I told them any charge to my dads card will be fraudulent. Even though they new this and just charged his for another month they charged him 120.00 dollars knowing it was not my card. Im calling the bank. This company has no problem commiting fraud.
